  • 3 SUPER BREATHING TECHNIQUEST TO SPEED UP WEIGHT LOSS

April 01, 2023 by kevin in Healthy Living

Talk about weight loss, and probably the first thing that comes to mind is crazy diet fads and lots of exercise. However, new studies have now revealed that the ‘breath’ you take too, could have an impact on your weight loss attempts. Simply focusing on your breath and doing it the right way could help speed up your metabolism naturally.

Here are 3 beneficial breathing techniques that could help you speed up your weight loss results to a good extent.

    The Alternate Nostril Breathing
This simple breathing technique is thought to be helpful in a lot of scenarios. Firstly, it helps regularize blood pressure levels and brings more oxygen into the body. Furthermore, it also helps calm you down naturally, boosting brain health.
Start by sitting down straight with your legs folded, and place your left hand on your left knee. Now place the tip of the right index finger and middle finger of your right hand on the space between the eyebrows and your right thumb on your right nostril. Press down on the thumb and exhale through the left nostril completely. Breathe in deeply through the left nostril itself, release your thumb and press down on the ring finger of your right hand on the left nostril, and then breathe out through the right nostril. Keep repeating till you feel calm and energized.

The Breath of Fire for Improved Metabolism
How about a breathing technique that improves your metabolism? This one will do it best. Start by sitting down on your knees and placing your fists on the core center. Exhale out all the air from your nose and slowly take a deep breath- ideally one breath should be equal to six counts. Now purse your lips and make short exhalations with lots of effort- make sure you do not inhale in the middle of these exhalations. After you’re done exhaling all the air, hold on for a single count, and then breathe normally.

Vacuum Breathing for Toning the Core
Performing this breathing exercise everyday for a few weeks will help you see a noticeable change in your core region, which makes it the best breathing technique for those who’ve gained fat particularly around the belly.
Start by placing your knees and hands on the ground, and exhale all the air out of your lungs, sucking your belly inwards. Now hold onto this position and try to expand your lungs without inhaling any air, and push your stomach inwards and towards the spine. Hold this position for up to 10 seconds and then slowly release.

Infact, simply taking 15 minutes a day and concentrating on deep breathing could help you lose weight more easily. So go ahead and give it a try!
