Your Lifestyle Choices Will Determine Your Life Quality & Time

April 10, 2023 by kevin in Healthy Living

Everyone wants to have a body that implements fitness. The active, healthy body that is key to happiness. But if we make bad choices in the things we do, the things we drink and eat, it can lead to bad health and unhappiness.

There are some easy things we can do that can turn into beneficial habits to save us from serious health diseases such as cardiac arrest, cerebral stroke, liver malfunction, lung disease and renal failure just to name a few. While there may be more rules and these rules could be covered in more depth, here we share just a sampling:

Consume Healthy Foods: Every parent should start their child with healthy eating habits from the very beginning, but it needs to continue after they are out of the baby food stage. When they begin eating table food, it should contain the fresh fruits and vegetables that we learn as adults we should have been eating all along.

A balanced meal should have a balance of carbs, proteins and whole grains. This means minimal amounts of fats, good portions of whole grains and tons of fruits and vegetables. Choosing chicken over red meat and minimize the amount of sweets, which is found in snack foods. Snacks can be healthy with the right choices.

Quit Smoking: For adults that are currently smoking, stop. You are causing damage to your own health and that of others around you. Even if you are past middle age, the sooner you can quit the better for everyone.

Quit Alcohol: Occasional alcoholic beverages are fine, and there are studies that have shown a glass of wine is healthy. For anyone that has medical issues though, no alcohol is best. A heavy alcohol intake can cause many health hazards in itself and speed up the process of other health issues.

Get Active: An idle body will become slower and slower. Get and keep an active exercise routine for no less than 20 or 30 minutes. It doesn’t have to be at gym either. You can take a walk, you can jog or try aerobics or cycling. Swimming is one of the best physical activities you can do at any age.

Get Enough Sleep: We all need a healthy habit of getting eight hours of sleep each night, no matter our age. A good night’s rest will maintain your body’s metabolic balance can will help you brain recharge too.
