A lot of people will give you advice when it comes to food and nutrition. But not all of these are facts and a majority of them turn out to be myths that you need to debunk at the soonest. So what are some of the nutrition-related myths that you should definitely not pay any attention to? Take a look –

• Eating at night will make you fat – one of the greatest myths that a lot of people believe in is that eating at night will make you fat. But the truth is that calories are calories and it doesn’t matter which time to the day you decide to consume it.

• Extra protein will automatically build muscles – Just consumption of protein will not build your muscles if you don’t strength train along with it. So along with a regular diet with proper protein content, you need to train to build your muscles.

• Cholesterol free foods are healthy for the heart –to avoid heart clogging don’t just look at the labels of the items you purchase. Instead try to eat healthy foods like lentils, legumes, nuts and so on.

• Eating fish is the best way to get heart-healthy omega 3 fats –Myth is that fish is not the only source of omega 3 fats. So you should include vegetable as well as fish based omega 3 diets. This will help to maintain optimal health balance.

• Athletes Don’t get osteoporosis –Osteoporosis can occur if you over exercise. Make sure you Balance your body properly and consume calcium in your diet so that you don’t get osteoporosis. Being an athlete isn’t a preventive procedure for osteoporosis.
