In an Instagram post, Wright says while goals give direction, daily habits can lead to transformation. This is the most crucial step and you must focus on sustainable everyday habits to meet your goals.
2. Get Out In The Sun
Start by taking in some sunlight early in the morning every day. Exposure to natural light can regulate the circadian rhythm, make you feel energetic and boost your mood.
3. Blood Sugar Regulation
Focus on eating a balanced meal that has a lot of protein, fibre-rich carbs and fat to avoid energy crashes and mood swings. It can regulate your blood sugar by helping you manage your cravings.
4. Nurture Gut-brain Connection
The expert recommends eating prebiotic foods like garlic, onions, bananas; probiotic foods like kimchi and yogurt; omega-3 fatty acids like salmon and walnuts; and polyphenol-rich foods like berries and dark chocolate to regulate stress levels, improve mood and gut health.
5. A Walk In Nature
Consider going out for a brisk 30-minute walk in nature every day. It can enhance brain health, elevate your mood, and lower the risk of chronic health conditions.
6. Control Your Breathing
Activate the body’s relaxation response by regulating your breathing. It can reduce stress and anxiety. Spend five minutes every day practising slow deep-belly breathing.
7.Look For Glimmers
Look for tiny moments of joy and peace every day. It can signal the nervous system that you are safe and calm. It can be a delicious cup of evening coffee, a hug from a loved one, the sound of birds, the smell of flowers, reading your favourite book, etc.
