Celebrate A Path To Good Health With These 3 Steps

April 02, 2023 by kevin in Mind & Body

Do you hold on to bad things when they happen to you? Like a loss job opportunity or a relationship that ended? These are just two of the many things that can cause us to feel regret. But how do you handle the good things that happen to you? Have a quick celebration and then move on to whatever life brings to you? What about if you changed that routine? Try holding on to how the good things made you feel and let go of the bad things that happened?

A lot of research has given us results that when we invite enjoyment, happiness and pleasure in our lives, our immune system improves and our metabolism speeds up. This all leads to a healthier and sexier person.
Why Does Happiness Do This?
When we are experiencing happiness, joy and pleasure, it relaxes us. While we are in a relaxed state of being, it balances our body instead of firing off cortisol and insulin, our stress hormones. So, how ready are you to begin your celebration path to good health?

Here are 3 Tips To Get You Started

• Make Your Birthday A Month Long Not Just One Day: Go ahead and plan your one big party or night out as you always have, but think about small daily celebrations for the whole month. It could be enjoying something simple like a lit candle with soothing aroma or listening to relaxing, soft music as you take a soaking bath. The point is to make each day of you birthday month as important and special as your actual birthday with good, happy and pleasant memories.

• Write A Letter To Family And Friends: Express your gratitude and love to your family and friends in a handwritten letter or note. When we reach out to others with love and thankfulness, it will create a lasting feeling for them and us. If there somebody that has gone above and beyond for you, a written letter or note saying thank you, specifically for what they did, will make them feel more appreciated and will make you feel better inside. It will allow you a time to hold on to that happy moment again.

• Keep The Good Memories: Every day, find the time to sit down, take a deep breath and savor the good things in your life. For example, if you just passed a certification exam, remember that joyous moment and savor it. Or if you made a hole-in-one, think about that last putt and how you felt when the ball rolled into that hole. Think about the mornings when your spouse wakes you up with a kiss or gives you a hug on the way out the door.
