There is no denying that exercising is actually good for everyone. If you want to lower the chance of having a great disease then aerobics might actually help you to achieve that. Not just heart disease it will also help to lower the risk of cancer, diabetes and more diseases as such. Let’s take a look at how aerobics actually lowers the risk of brain damage.

• Reduces brain inflammation- the diseases like diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and so on are widespread and chronic inflammation in the body so it also affects the brain causing the cognitive functions of one to be affected. But it has been seen than aerobic exercise can suppress the inflammation present in our bodies.

• Improves the glucose metabolism in our brain – exercising on a regular basis at a moderate intensity can actually improve the glucose metabolism in our brain. In addition to that, the people who sent over 68 minutes every day showed better glucose metabolism results than those who didn’t.

• Helps to improve the white matter integrity – white matter is present in more than 50% region of our brain and it connects the various regions that are present in our brain so that they can communicate with one another properly. The people who perform aerobics have increased white matter integrity as well as better cognitive performance among all the other people.

• It increases the hippocampus volume – if you are unaware of it, the hippocampus is known as the center of learning, emotion, as well as memory and the worst part, is that with age this part shrinks. With the aerobic training programs, the total hippocampus volumes in the left and right regions are seen to improve significantly. So the person can remember things far more clearly than they could.
