Awesome Snack Ideas Which Don’t Compromise on Health

March 16, 2023 by kevin in Healthy Living

One of the few that first crosses your mind when deciding to opt for a diet and leave your unhealthy lifestyle behind is probably this: “This means I have to eat the boring food which doesn’t taste good,” but that’s not true. And by not true, we don’t mean that something such as veggies or nuts will be as tasty as that fried chicken, we just mean that you can still enjoy your diet by incorporating some awesome snack ideas into your regular food so you can pamper your taste buds as well. Let’s have a look at some of them:

1. Mint and Pea Dip with Pretzel: Combining the health of peas, the freshness of mint and the taste of a pretzel sums up to a healthy and tasty snack which you simply cannot leave once you get used to it. Making it is rather easy as all you have to do is mash ½ cup of frozen peas along with 2 teaspoons of fresh lime juice and a tablespoon of fresh mint. This is enough dip to last up to 15 pretzels, and you can always make more since the ingredients required aren’t that much.

2. Sesame Popcorn: With just a ~150 calories, not to mention the extremely healthy and nutrition-rich properties of sesame, this popcorn will serve as an excellent snack to have between lunch and dinner. Your kids will love it; you will love it, and since the smell of popcorn is so tempting, we are guessing that your neighbors will love it too.

3. Dark Chocolate and Nut: The best part about dark chocolate is that it combines the best of both worlds having a great taste and also being quite healthy as stated and proved in many studies. Why not take a step further and add some dry fruits to the mix, not only to add the crunchy texture to the chocolate but also add some more health thanks to the assorted dry fruits which are rich in protein, carbs and fiber.

4. Mango and Raspberry Smoothie: Even though we hate eating a fruit alone such as, well, mangoes and raspberries, adding them to milk and making a milkshake out of it will certainly appeal to you due to its great look, great taste, and it goes without saying, the great nutrition of real fruits. It’s even better when you can find and opt for fruits, which are fresh from the farm (organic produce, basically).
