Take It 1 Day At A Time For A Healthy Life Style

April 02, 2023 by kevin in Healthy Living

No matter the reason that has made you decide this, the beginning to a healthier lifestyle is a smart decision. Perhaps you’ve tried before and failed, that’s okay. The fact is you’re back to try again and we want to help you.

The first thing you need to tell yourself is to take it one day at a time. If your objective is weight loss, you can’t make that your overall focus from sunrise to sunset. Your focus needs to be on making choices and decisions that are healthy.

Begin by making simple changes to your eating habits every day. Then add a daily exercise routine. If you’ve never had a motivation to exercise, you need to make having a healthier, longer life your motivation. When you exercise, you’ll find that the amount of food you consume will decrease, especially when you are eating healthier foods that fill you up faster.

Every Day Is A New Day

Every day is a new day and you should approach and treat them accordingly. When you wake up every morning, you have a zero calorie intake count, so that is should be your thought for the morning. You’re at ground zero and everything you do from there should be a healthy choice.

Because the decisions you make the rest of the day will determine if your calorie total at the end of the day will contribute to weight gain or weight loss. And your weight gain or weight loss will determine how you feel the rest of the day.

Don’t let weight gain or weight loss consume your day and overwhelm you. By breaking your healthier lifestyle goals on a day-to-day battle, you will focus on the “here and now” and not what’s down the road later this week or next month.

One Meal At A Time

Your first focus of the day should be a breakfast that is nutritious with 300 to 400 calories. Make water your best friend and drink it all day and with each meal. Healthy snacking between meals is good, keeping them at 100 to 200 calories so that your body has nourishment all day.

Make your lunch nutritious, which is easier to do when you make it yourself at home. Your evening meal should be between 400 to 600 calories and consumed with a glass of water. Avoid the temptations of unhealthy late night snacking too. Instead of a bowl of ice cream, get some carrot sticks and a glass of water.
