Healthy Ways of Getting Protein

March 26, 2023 by kevin in Healthy Living

Ever since the health industry has been booming, we have all been subjected to ridiculous marketing schemes. We won’t deny that there are some good protein-rich products out there, there are still many which provide you protein at a price. With that being said, you would obviously want to get a healthier way of introducing protein in your body sans the side effects. So without further ado, here’s how you get it:

1. Meat: Second to protein supplements, meat is the most popular source of protein among gym-goers and fitness enthusiasts, and we aren’t surprised why. As long as you make sure that the meat is washed properly and cooked to near-perfection, you would be getting the benefit of both protein and a tasty meal. It’s always better when it’s healthy and tastes good.

2. Spinach: Getting towards the bitter side of things, we have spinach, something which our parents have tried level best to make us eat, but we wouldn’t anyway. However, since you are an adult now, it’s important that you should be looking beyond taste as long as the food that you eat is excellent in nutrition. Spinach is, of course, among those foods, being not only rich in protein, but also in iron and vitamin A.

3. Dairy Products: Dairy products are obviously not recommended for vegans, but for those who can eat it, then you are in for a treat, since almost every dairy product has one thing in common. Milk is one of the best sources of protein along with many other nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D. And of course if you are lactose intolerant, you should either skip these or look for an alternative.

4. Nuts: Next in the list is the fat-free, tasty variety of getting protein: nuts. They are available in a variety of different ones from cashews to almonds to peanuts. You can also try products derived from these substances, even if they might not be as effective. Be careful not to have salted nuts as the USDA recommends staying away from them to keep the sodium intake low.

5. Eggs: No list of protein sources is complete without listing eggs, right? And we don’t even need to explain or tell you that eggs contain protein so, yeah, eggs are the way to go too.
